- Synthesis of perovskite, Metal doped perovskite for the use in PSC;
- Study of dye sensitizers including theoretical calculation and synthesis; investigation of long term stability of the dyes;
- Synthesis and modification of TiO2; or composite TiO2/ graphene paste for DSC and PSC photo anode;
- Surface modification of photo anode by chemical or electrochemical methodologies for enhancement of DSC efficiency;
- Optimization of electrolytes for improvement of DSC long term stability;
- Device fabrication and characterization.
2. Lithium and Sodium battery: Synthesis the electrode materials for lithium and sodium batteries based on the nano spinel compounds. Synthesis and investigate the elctrochemical properties of novel ionics liquids for higher performance and safety. Research and develop the electrochemical techniques to verify the quality of commercial batteries.
3. Electrochemical Supercapacitors: Study the composite materials based on nanocarbon such as Li4Mn5O12/CNTs, LiMn2O4/CNTs… for electrochemical supercapacitors. Assembly and evaluate the properties of electrochemical supercapacitors.
4.Fuel Cell: Synthesis the catalysts based on nanometal and nanocarbon (Pt/C, Pd/C, Ru/C, PtNi/C, PdCo/C, PdMo/C, Pt-Ru/C, Pd-Co-Mo/C) and perpare the electrodes for cathode and anode of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC). Invetigate the electrochemical behaviours of materials and the kinetics of electrode reaction as fuel oxidation and oxygen reduction. Evaluate the durability of catalysts for PEMFC. Design, prepare and evaluate the components of EMFC monocell. Design and fabricate the 1-100W PEMFC. Prepare the bipolar plate using Ni, Ti protection thinfilm as anti-corrosion materials in acid media. Study the hydrogen production from different methods as water spliting and from biomass.
