ORGANIC SYNTHESIS AND GREEN CHEMISTRY

Organic Synthesis and Green

I. RESEARCH AREAS

- Conversion of biomass and natural products: extracting a variety of essential oils from oil-bearing plants, synthesizing camphor from pine essential oils, some compounds from citronellal essential oils, or carvenon from citrus essential oils, preparing biodiesel from waste fish fat, corn-cob, bagasse, isolating seed gum from natural plants as coagulant to treat waste water, purifying and modifying clay materials into Montmorillonite K-10 as acidic solid supports,...

- Syntheses of Metal Organic Frame: Zirconium (Zr-MOFs) from linker containing carboxylic acid, ethynyl group,....

- Syntheses of pharmaceutical compounds: antibacteria (cephalexin, cefixime, fluoroquinoline, cefaclor...), anti-fungi (thiosulfonate S-esters, sulfonamide...), vitamins (vitamin PP, vitamin B1,...), anticancer (vinblastin, sulforaphan,...),...

- Syntheses of agro-chemical compounds: sex pheromones, insecticide, ...

- Syntheses of cosmetic chemicals: a constituent of perfume (amylcinnanaldehid...), preservatives (paraben group), emolients (fatty acid esters,...),...

- Syntheses of compounds for food chemistry: antifungy (ferullic acid...),...

- Application of green energy: microwave or ultrasound irradiation in most of synthetic pathways or essential oil extraction.
